Okay - I admit it, its not really a "shed" (see pic on previous post). Its more of a 'garden studio' but it sounds pretentious when describing a workshop (even if the space is fabulous, which it is). I have had the shed for a year now, and its one of the best things I ever did. Obviously, it gives me the space to put my stuff and make my pots, which is the reason I got it in the first place. What I entirely failed to appreciate was how brilliant it is to have a space apart that is yours. I should have listened to the man cave guys; they are definitely on to something. I guarantee the first time you sit in your shed doing your stuff, or staring out of the window or drinking tea or beer or playing music at a volume your parents would not approve of, you will come face to face with your teenage self - optimistic, uncluttered and free of responsibility. So here's to the shed - literally the most fabulous space created by man (or woman..).
