Here they are - the finished new shapes. I think I need to make them taller and slightly narrower at the bottom. This is what new work does for you: it raises new questions. In broad terms, "how can this be better"?. The questions never really end, which can feel like a permanent state of dissatisfaction. The reality is that you need to couple this with a large dose of acceptance. Its not that each piece is "not good enough". Its that each piece's purpose is like a signpost to the next. You can't progress without them, and you have to love them for that, if nothing else. So next week, these pieces tell me I need to throw them with a more elegant line, make the walls more even, and maybe try and introduce some colour. Have a good weekend.
